Two large glass cases were fabricated and installed in Purdue University’s Pao Hall of Visual and Performing Arts. These archival cases with desiccant chambers display tall “Soundsuit” sculptures by renowned visual artist Nick Cave, chair of the Fashion Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Ultraviolet filtering laminated and tempered glass protects the colorful sculptures from fading. The low iron glass is also optically clear without the typical green cast of regular glass. Due to the size, ½” thick glass was used.
